In today’s world, we have information on demand that is limited to the agility of your fingers and speed of your internet network. For every good question, there are hundreds of opinions/answers available to choose from. While I’d rather have more than fewer options available, this information overload age we live in can cause what is referred to as paralysis by analysis. We tell ourselves, before I jump into ____________ I want to become educated and make sure I don’t make ANY mistakes so I can be perfect from the get-go. I know this because I’m a victim of this crisis all too often, but no matter how much preparation I do, in the end I ALWAYS end up making some kind of mistake. These mistakes, ironically end up becoming more educational than any form of literature, media, or course I’ve signed up for. Said best by Yoda, “The greatest teacher, failure is.”

Because I have several years of experience with door-to-door sales, I am very familiar with failure and turning it into success. These failures, while never fun experiencing them, have given me a confidence that I can overcome any obstacle placed in my life. And the good news is, you can gain this same confidence too! Door-to-door Sales: How to Make $100,000 in One Summer is dedicated to all beginner sales people looking for their guidebook to selling door-to-door. I have outlined many of my mistakes, hardships, and several anticipated roadblocks intro-level salesman run into. The text highlights my initial reaction to knocking door-to-door and how I learned to overcome the urge to quit. Eventually, I mastered the appropriate skills that helped me become successful and I include several of those tips and tricks I picked up that lead me to that point.

A Sneak Peak

Door-to-Door Sales: How to Make $100,000 in One Summer is short, sweet, and to the point. With only 50 pages to digest, the information presented is neatly organized and easy to understand. Rather than digging deep into the logistics, processes, and theories behind every D2D strategy, I present the few methods which have proven to work for me and I believe can work for you as well.

Because the book is targeted to helping beginner salesman, I answer several questions that first time reps typically have (or should have) when considering door-to-door sales. Questions from “What is door-to-door sales”, “How can I be successful” and “What can I expect” are identified and answered. I provide templates of questions you can use to ask your potential employer and learn how to sell yourself before you ever knock a door. The questions and frameworks presented give you the basic know-how needed to begin your door sales journey.  

In addition to answering common questions, the book will identify several of the most common door-to-door sales options available and determining the best fit for you. Giving Back

The memories, experiences, and opportunities presented to my life have grown exponentially due to my time selling. I feel extremely grateful for this job and where I am today because of it. Over the last four years, I have travelled across the United States and gained a new appreciation for salesmen in general. I admire you and all others who are willing to put themselves out on a limb and try this job. It isn’t easy, but it doesn’t have to be as miserable as people make it out to be either. Because I know how terrible it can feel to fail at this job, I published this book as my way of giving back to you. My hope on writing this book was to offer encouragement and guidance for anyone delving into the world of D2D sales. You may still have mistakes and struggles with this job, but you will at least have this resource to prepare you for what to expect and how to make the most of your door knocking experience.
